From Taltal to Calama
After leaving Caldera behind us, we went on up North by the coast.
We visited the park « Pao de Acucar » that is beautifull with it’s gourgeos beaches.
The heavy atmosphera around the Caldera incident began to get better.
On the road near Taltal, Eric stop to help some guys that had broken down them car, and we finish by pulling them over until the next village, 25 km further, Taltal.
Taltal was a wonderful surprise.
Many village walls were painted with great coulours., and there are beautifull colonial houses.
A made a couple of pictures.

We found a beautifull house, in front of the sea builded in 1886 ! Amasing ! Of course it was not in a very good shape but the charm of the house was still there.

We wanted to hurry to arrive to Calama so we could spend a night already at 2800 metres before going to St.Pedro D’Atacama desert.
The way is monotonus - desert. There is nothing to see.
Here and there we saw signs for mines, copper mines.
I think the acid truck we saw are to be used in the mines, and that´s why the copper in making Chili rich in one hand and with a lot of environemental troubles in another.
We arrived at Calama, at 8 in the evening, getting reading to the altitude. That day we managed to make 420 km .
Not bad, for a Turtle !
